The story, from Testaccio to Real Madrid

      Giampiero Pocetta was born on May 25, 1965 in the Roman district of Testaccio, showing since childhood a remarkable determination in kicking the ball. Already at the age of six he began having fun at the Testaccio football school. From there starts what that Giampiero will live forever as a relationship of passion! A pure and authentic passion that has grown over time and has become a profession.
      As a teenager Giampiero was selected by SS Lazio to playing in the youth sector teams, with the "adults" he began his journey from Ternana FC (he will join again the "Fere Team" even later) but it is with the Palermo FC shirt that he obtains the best satisfaction in career, even wearing the captain's armband.

      Frosinone FC and Crotone FC were among the teams he played with. He wore the under 21 Italian blue jersey also; it was the flagship of a youth spent on football fields all over Italy.
      In 2000 Giampiero, wishing to put the experience gained over the years at the service of his younger colleagues, embarked on a career as an agent and was lucky enough to start a new football life by representing Vincent Candela, AS Roma's left-back in the 2001 championship victory.
      Among the first assisted also other players such as Oberdan Biagioni (protagonist with the famous Foggia FC coached by Mr. Zeman), Manuel Coppola and Gianni Munari (winners of championships in Italy and abroad).
      During his period of activity as an agent, Giampiero developed an intense and fruitful collaboration with one of the greatest intermediaries of all time, Mr. Ernesto Bronzetti (the man who transferred seven "Golden Balls" players), with whom they manage to transfer Antonio Cassano from AS Roma to Real Madrid. Shortly before, again on behalf of the prestigious Madrid club, they obtained the mandate to discuss the possible transfer of the AS Roma captain Francesco Totti also. This, however, is another story and we all know the end...

      Giampiero is the agent of Amauri (the former player of Palermo, Juventus and Parma) also; with him he has developed over time a relationship of confidentiality and friendship even out of the pitch. And this is a characteristic feature of his way of working.
      The deep desire to personally choose the players to manage has always been a fixed point, as well as the desire to establish a personal bond with them, an authentic interaction even off the pitch. In this way Giampiero has managed to develop a sincere harmony in the relationship between agent and player, which is essential for conceiving and suggesting to the clients to undertake the most correct training and professional paths.
      Therefore, GP Soccer and Management was born from the experience of a football player and many years of management of professionals, with the belief of being able to support with qualified foresight those who today need to build a high-level football path.
